Nicknamed the«Pearl of the Seine Valley», Caudebec-en-Caux is located on the right bank of the river, between Rouen and Le Havre, in the heart of the Boucles de la Seine Normande Regional Nature Park. It is part of the new commune of Rives-en-Seine.
Historically, the town was destroyed 80% by fire in 1940, but was rebuilt to a modern plan, earning it the «Patrimoine de la Reconstruction» label.
A remarkable heritage includes the elegant Église Notre-Dame, a masterpiece of flamboyant Gothic, and the Maison des Templiers (the oldest building).
It also features MuseoSeine, dedicated to the history of the river.
Surrounded by cliffs and forest, it offers hiking trails and the chance to discover the ecosystem of the Marais de Caudebec-en-Caux.
