Bike rides

cycling near the campsite in Normandy

The Rives en Seine region is an excellent choice for a bike ride!
There are two possible interpretations of your request, but in either case, you'll find some very pleasant bike paths:

  1. Around the commune of Rives-en-Seine (76490)
If you are referring to the new commune of Rives-en-Seine in Normandy (Seine-Maritime), here are the popular loops and itineraries you can take, since the national cycle route La Seine à Vélo crosses this territory:

Jumièges Abbey loop - Duclair-Berville Bac :

  • Distance: 54.1 km
  • Estimated time: 3 hours
  • Difficulty: Moderate
  • Suggested starting point: Caudebec-en-Caux (one of the Rives-en-Seine town halls). This walk allows you to discover the famous loops of the Seine and the local heritage.

Circular cycle path from Saint-Wandrille-Rançon :

  • Distance: 36.7 km
  • Estimated running time: Approx. 3h20
  • Difficulty: Difficult (due to higher gradient, 480 m ascent). Good training required.
  • There is also a shorter 16 km circuit from Saint-Wandrille-Rançon, ideal for a more leisurely outing in the countryside.

2. Along the «Rives de Seine» (National itinerary)

If you were thinking more broadly of the banks of the Seine in general, you're on the route of the great La Seine à Vélo cycle route, a signposted itinerary of over 510 km linking Paris to the sea (Le Havre or Deauville).

This itinerary is divided into stages and offers numerous possibilities for day outings, particularly in the Île-de-France region. To organize your outing or find specific stages, I recommend you visit the official website of the itinerary: La Seine à Vélo.
